Digital Downloads
As more and more people make the transition from Ecommerce to Digital Commerce, it is important to ensure that digital products are handled as efficiently and securely as possible, but allowing quick and easy access for the customer at all times.
The Digital Downloads module from Ingenii lets you specify how many downloads are permitted for your products before they expire as well as a definite expiration date. This means that, if you have allowed your customers to download your files a maximum of two separate times, they will be unable to download a third time even if the actual expiry date has not been reached.
Similarly, if the expiry date has been reached before all or any downloading has taken place, the file will be automatically locked off for the user. This system prevents abuse where URLs are passed around to allow multiple people to download the same file.
The Digital Downloads module will also not allow the customer to download your files at the first instance unless payment has been taken successfully, so any declined payments will result in the customer being told that their download is not yet available to them.
