If your customers aren't kept up to date with their orders and have no idea whether their order has even been received, processed, or out for delivery... you're not going to get very far.

With technology being as advanced as it is today, there are more mobile phones per capita than there are land lines. For several years, more Chinese and Americans have used mobile phones than land lines and the UK has finally caught up with these figures.

What better way to keep your customer in the loop than to send a message directly to their mobile phone? Chances are, if they're at work they may not be able to check their home email address, but they WILL be able to receive text messages on their own mobile phones. Ingenii therefore allows you to keep in close contact with your customers at all times, without the barrier of convenience getting in the way.

The SMS Notification module within Ingenii allows you to select which areas of the store will send automatic notifications to your customers. The choices are...

• Confirm registration
• Order confirmation
• Order status change
• Notify manager when order is placed

Your customers also have the option to prevent messages being sent to their mobile, resulting in email only correspondence. In all cases above, the regular emails will still be sent whether SMS messaging has been enabled or not.
