Wish List
What better way to increase the number of visitors to your site than to let your customers help you out along the way?
The Wish List feature allows your customers to browse your site and add anything that they fancy to their own personal Wish List rather than just add it to their cart and check out. It may be coming close to their birthday, or to Christmas (or maybe they're just greedy?) and they want to let everyone know what they'd like to receive rather than leaving it up to Auntie Gladys to assume they want a Reindeer Sweater (like they got last year).
Once your customers are happy that they've added enough to their Wish List, they can opt to send this list to as many people as they want by simply entering their email addresses and writing their own personal message. Once they click on the send button, their chosen recipients will each be sent an email with this personal message, asking them to click on the special link provided to view the Wish List.
In order to prevent confusion the Wish List operates in such a way that, once a "friend" has purchased a product from the sender's Wish List, it will be removed automatically so that the next person to visit their Wish List page won't be able to purchase the same product. What's more, if the "friend" adds a product to their cart from the sender's Wish List and then browses the rest of your store, anything that they add to the cart themselves won't be confused with any other Wish List item.
For example, if the Wish List contained "Yoda Plush Doll" and "Darth Vader Talking Mask" and the "friend" decided to buy the Yoda Plush Doll for the sender, then that would count as being purchased from the Wish List and would automatically be removed from the Wish List on checkout. If that "friend" browsed the store before checking out and ended up adding the "Darth Vader Talking Mask" to their cart after searching the store (ie NOT from the Wish List page) then that item would be recognised as a standalone purchase, and would affect the Darth Vader Talking Mask within the Wish List.
